| 3/14/2010 3:33:12 PM - Greetings! I trust everyone had a great summer and are now buckling back to work as kids gets back into school allowing some semblance of normalcy to let us parents focus on being productive again.
It has been a long time since I wrote a newsletter in part because things have been a little sleepy work wise (the recession has definitely cut into my tours and recordings), but also because I was a little burnt out from the last few years of the ArtistShare projects in which I was required to constantly update my participants on the various stages of those projects through blogs and newsletters. The summer has allowed me to reset to zero and allow ideas and concepts to ferment, and now I am in a groove to get some new things going.
First up, news on upcoming performances in Japan:

There are dates coming up in November as well which I'll write another do another blast about on a later date.
OTHER THINGS -- There are a few recent collaborations I've recorded which should be seeing their release soon:
- A sweet track with Japanese jazz pianist Ryoko Anan for her upcoming release (date TBA)
- A track with DJ and producer Jephte Guillaume who I've worked with in the past entitled "Dancing With the Stars" that's promising to become a club bootie-mover which will be released as a single from his label (date TBA)
- Daisuke Tanabe, who did a remix of my collaboration with Yellowtail ("Everything Is Alright"), kindly asked me to collaborate on a track for his upcoming solo debut album which I was THRILLED to do (release date TBA)
- With Kyoto Jazz Massive with our second collaboration entitled "Blind" for their upcoming album (release date TBA)
Also, I am in the middle of putting together a remix project from my album "Nexus." I anticipate having it ready for release by either later this year, or early the next.
And finally a new project in the works! My folder of concept/lyric/music ideas has grown to the point that it's ready to go into stage 2, which is actually writing/demoing/pre-production/programming. It probably won't be through ArtistShare -- I've decided the idea of bringing the mystery back and not over-explaining everything is a good thing. I hope to get that going by early next year and have something ready in 2010.
